ESET Smart Security brings the speed and precision of ESET NOD32 Antivirus and its powerful ThreatSense® engine and combines it with custom engineered firewall and antispam solutions - constantly vigilant in keeping computers safe from malware and other internet threats.

ESET Smart Security Business Edition features the ESET Remote Administrator 3 to ensure smooth updating and centralized management in networked environments. ESET Remote Administrator allows fast setup and eases administration of all the machines in a local and wide area network. ESET Smart Security Business Edition ensures optimal performance of the systems and networks and reduces bandwidth consumption.

The four main modules (Antivirus, Antispyware, Personal Firewall and Anti-Spam) were optimized to provide even better integrated protection by maintaining a high level of performance and speed simultaneously.

Included is also ESET´s famous Advanced Heuristics to protect from unknown threats and generic signatures for reliable detection of mutations of known viruses. Central Remote Administration

Server friendly Business Edition contains the feature of central remote administration via ESET Remote Administrator – a tool ensuring hassle free installation and subsequent running of ESET Smart Security. Other features of ESET Remote Administrator will be detailed in separate document.

ESET Smart Security Business Edition allows the user to create copies of update files, which can be used to update other workstations located in the network.

ESET Smart Security adds critical features, such as external drive access control and scanning, Cisco Network Admission Control (NAC) compatibility, as well as enhanced logging and reporting functions to support your compliance initiatives.

Host-based Intrusion Prevention System

ESET delivers host-based intrusion protection through a combination of capabilities including self-defense, advanced heuristics, web access protection and protocol filtering. In particular, advanced heuristics stops potentially malicious code by analyzing their behavior and disabling them before they can do damage. ESET's self-defense prevents malware from disabling our software and weakening the security of the user's system.

ESET Remote Administrator provides a single management console to control an entire network from a single screen—supporting tens to thousands of computers. Installation, updates, alerts and other tasks are all easily managed from these intuitive screens. To effectively manage your networked systems, the updated console smooths Active Directory integration and simplifies policy creation. With support for Oracle, MySQL and MS-SQL databases, it also handles increasingly large deployments and runs significantly faster. ESET Smart Security can be configured with antispam and/or personal two-way firewall disabled to ensure compatibility with existing network security solutions. Integrated SysInspector makes it easier for IT administrators to diagnose and resolve problems.
